I’m so glad you’re here! I put together a special video going through all the of the healthy foods you should be eating lots of.
After you watch this video, I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. If you’re just getting into the world of healthy eating, let me know which foods you’re hoping to get more of, and ask any questions you have.
If you’re already enjoying some of these whole foods, maybe you can help others by offering advice on how you’ve been successful in getting more of them into your diet, and maybe you can answer their questions, too.
Too often, diet plans focus first on all of the things you should cut out. That’s kind of depressing, and makes you feel restricted.
There are definitely a lot of unhealthy foods out there, but there are also a lot of foods you should actually be eating more of.
Looking at those ones first is not only more fun and positive, but it can help you be more successful at making changes because you’re filling your body (and your stomach) with healthy foods that will give you energy and motivation.

Enjoy lots of:
- filtered water
- fresh vegetables, particularly dark green and leafy ones
- fresh fruit
- whole grains (brown rice, oats, quinoa, millet, barley, buckwheat, wheat berries and any others you can find) cooked in lots of water
- beans and legumes (aduki beans, chickpeas, lentils, split peas, kidney beans, navy beans, black-eyed peas, etc) cooked in lots of water
These foods make up the base of a healthy vegan diet plan, and give your body the energy and nutrients it needs to live a fantastic life.
Enjoy a moderate amount of:
- seeds, particularly ground flax
- avocados
- coconut (unsweetened)
- nuts
- sea vegetables (kelp, kombu, wakame, hijiki, etc)
- herbs and spices
These foods are super healthy, they just don’t need to make up too much of the volume of your daily food intake.
People new to a vegan diet plan often fall into the trap of overdoing the starches or the fats, both of which can sidetrack an otherwise healthy eating plan.
Herbs and spices are a part of healthy eating that often get overlooked. Fresh herbs are loaded with nutrients, and spices have small amounts of important nutrients that you won’t get from other foods.
Some spices have special functions, like ginger and cinnamon which stimulate your digestive system. They also flavor your food, making fresh vegetables and whole grains a lot more exciting.
Put your energy and motivation for healthy eating into basing your diet on these healthy whole plant foods. Then you’ll have less room and time for the bad foods you shouldn’t be eating.
