Today I have a pure travel video for you – clips from our trip biking, ziplining and hiking to Machu Picchu, along with dancing and water/soap fights for Carnival in Cusco.
I hope you enjoy it! It was a really fun few days, and I tried to take clips all along the way for you, although it was difficult to film while biking…
We did this as a tour (through Gravity Peru) which introduced us to this amazing lodge near Sta Teresa. If anyone’s heading to the area, it’s called Eco Quechua Lodge, and they were so accommodating in making us phenomenal vegan meals.
We went to the hot springs in Sta Teresa, which was amazingly beautiful and I’m sorry I didn’t get a video clip of it for you. They were surrounded by mountains, with a river flowing off into a waterfall.
Ziplining had nothing to do with Machu Picchu, but was a huge amount of fun for me, as you may tell from my smile 🙂 The guides called the headfirst one superman-style, but I told them I was Wonder Woman.
I really enjoyed the hike up Huayna Picchu, endless and steep staircase though it was… and then got back to Cusco in time to get caught in the cross-fire of the water fight for Carnival.
