When summer heat peaks, I start making iced tea to keep myself hydrated and refreshed. It’s a great way to make water more fun, plus some teas add antioxidants to your water.
This is a recipe for iced tea, along with tips on how to make iced tea in different ways.
Refreshing Iced Tea Recipe
Prep time:
Makes 1 large pitcher

Ingredients
- 1-2 Tbsp loose tea or a tea bag of your choice
- 1L water
- 1-2 Tbsp unrefined sugar, or 10 drops liquid stevia (optional)
- fresh lemon or ginger slices (optional)
- dried ginger, cinnamon, lemongrass, etc (optional)
- Sparkling water/seltzer (optional)
Directions
You can either:
- Boil some water, let the tea steep and then pour into a pitcher half filled with ice and allow to cool.
- Put the tea in a pitcher with cool water and allow to steep slowly.
