This burger recipe is made delicious thanks to the sweet potatoes, and made easy thanks to the rolled oats! They can be a little tricky to keep from sticking, but they can still grill nicely. Still, I normally bake mine on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper to avoid sticking period.

Burger
- 1 sweet potato, peeled, chopped and steamed
- 1-1 1/2 cups oats (depending on the size of your sweet potato)
- 1 Tbsp fresh oregano, or 1 tsp dried
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
- pinch salt and pepper
Directions
- Mash the cooked sweet potato, then stir in the oats until you get a texture that will hold together in patties, somewhat like cookie dough. Stir in the seasonings, then form the mixture into patties.
- You can cook them in a frying pan with a bit of oil, or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in the oven or on the BBQ. Put them in at about 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes, or until the burgers are a bit crispy on the outside.
