I recently caught up with Carolyn Scott-Hamilton, aka The Healthy Voyager, in a healthy travel food cooking class demo.

Healthy Travel Food Key Points
- Take ready-to-eat foods with you, like instant soups and dried veggies. Greens powders that you mix with water give you a big serving of veggies when you don’t have time to go get a salad.
- Bring a cutting board, knife (in your checked bag) and food containers with lids.
- Improvise other tools. Use a hotel room coffee maker to get hot water and as a kind of toaster or hot plate to lightly heat beans or soups. Ask the front desk for cleaning products if you want to clean it out, and they might have a toaster oven or other things you can use.
